Location

Mara Serena Safari Lodge is situated within the Maasai Mara National Reserve, offering prime access to some of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife encounters. Approximately 275 km from Nairobi, the lodge can be reached by a 5-6 hour drive via the Nairobi-Narok-Sekenani Gate route. For a faster option, a 45-minute flight from Wilson Airport to Serena Airstrip is available, followed by a 15-minute transfer to the lodge. Its location provides stunning panoramic views of the Mara plains and easy access to key wildlife viewing areas.

All accommodations are en-suite, ensuring privacy and convenience, and each room comes with a private balcony that offers sweeping views of the Maasai Mara’s vast plains.

Policies (Child Policy & Cancellation Policy)

Child Policy

Children under 2 years: Stay free of charge when sharing a room with 1 or 2 adults.
Children aged 2–4 years: 40% of the package rate
Children aged 5–11 years: 75% of the package rate.
Children aged 12 years and above: Charged the full adult rate.

Note: A minimum of one adult is required per booking.

Cancellation Policy

More than 120 days before arrival: Full deposit refunded, minus transaction fees.
Between 120 and 45 days before arrival: 30% of the deposit is forfeited.
Between _{45 and 30 days} before arrival: 50% of the full value is forfeited.
Less than 29 days or no-show: 100% is forfeited.
Unused services:No refunds for unused accommodation or meals.

With so many great reviews, I'll add one more. We went with a group from the University of Utah, and thoroughly enjoyed the Serena Mara. The animals, views, food and service were all excellent. We even spent some time in the pool which was a nice break midday...

Of course you come for the animals and the Mara Serena’s panoramic views let us see a herd of elephants this way, Cape buffalo that way and majestic giraffes grazing in the middle. But it’s the personal service and attention to comfort that made us fall in love.
