Introduction

Masai Mara Sopa Lodge is one of the first safari lodges built in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, offering guests a classic African safari experience. Nestled amidst the rolling hills of the reserve, the lodge provides a serene retreat with traditional African architecture and warm hospitality.

Location

Masai Mara Sopa Lodge is situated just 3.7 km from the Ololaimutiek Gate, providing easy access to the reserve’s abundant wildlife. Perched in an elevated position, the lodge offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Guests can reach the lodge by air, flying from Nairobi's Wilson Airport to Keekorok Airstrip, followed by a one-hour scenic drive. Alternatively, a road trip from Nairobi spans approximately 250 km, taking 5-6 hours and showcasing Kenya’s diverse and picturesque terrain.

The lodge comprises 50 traditional African-style cottages, each housing two spacious guest rooms, totaling 99 rooms. Each room features queen- or king-size beds, mosquito nets, electronic safes, dressing tables, en-suite bathrooms, and sheltered verandas with views over the gardens and the game reserve beyond.

Policies (Child Policy & Cancellation Policy)

Child Policy

Children under 3 years stay free of charge when sharing a room with adults.
Children aged 3–15 years are charged 50% of the per-person adult twin rate if sharing with 1 or 2 adults.
Children aged 3–15 years are charged 75% of the twin/double room rate if staying in their own room.
Children sharing with adult, child pays 50% of adult rate and adult pays half of the double room rate
Adult sharing with 2 children, each child pays 50% of adult rate and adult pays half of the double room rate.
Children aged 16 years and above are considered adults

Cancellation Policy

Between 60-31 days prior days prior to arrival dates will incur 15% of the quotation
Between  30 - 16 days prior to arrival date  will incur 30% of the quotation
Between 15-1 day (including NO-show) prior to arrival date will incur 100% of the quotation.
