Location

The lodge is situated within a private conservancy, offering exclusive access to the Mara's abundant wildlife and landscapes, ensuring a more private and intimate safari experience. It is accessible by road and enjoys a 5-hour scenic drive from Nairobi, passing through the Great Rift Valley and the stunning landscapes of the Masai Mara or by air: A 45-minute flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Angama Mara’s private airstrip, followed by a short transfer to the lodge.

Policies (Child Policy & Cancellation Policy)

Child Policy

Children aged 0-6 stay free

6-12 pay 50% of the adult rate.

Children aged 13-17 pay 75% of the adult rate.

Children aged 18 and above pay the full adult rate.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations or amendments made more than 120 days before the safari incur a 25% charge, while those between 89-60 days result in a 20% fee.

Cancellations within 59-30 days result in a 50% refund and a 50% cancellation charge,

Cancellations 29 days or less before the safari result in no refund and a 100% cancellation charge.

Out of all the stays, my favourite was at solio Lodge. Somehow it was more personalised, the house keeping service was top notch with hot bath prepared and hot water bottled tucked ready for bedtime...

Wow. What a stunning location. Perched high on the mountain the Angama Mara has stunning views of the Masai Mara. Of the 3 places I did safari, this one had the most abundance of animals. Elephants, giraffes, bufffala, zebra and wildebeest...
